ARB Approves Additional Listed Races

Further to Australian Pattern Committee (APC) announcement on 22nd July 2011 recommending a number of changes within Australia’s black type listings, the Chairman of the APC, Alan Brown, today announced that the Australian Racing Board (ARB) has approved a number of additional races being included within the listings.

Mr Brown said:

“The Committee acknowledged that there was room within the Australian pattern to expand the number of Listed races. Accordingly, 14 races will immediately become Listed races after receiving approval from the ARB today.

Mr Brown noted:

“While the ARB have approved these additional races being included within the pattern at Listed level, the previous recommendations announced on the 22nd July will be considered by the ARB at its meeting on 18th August.

Races now elevated into the listings are:

ARC Albury Cup – 2000m, Open, Hcp

ATC Lord Mayors Cup – 1900m, Open, QHcp

ATC Winter Championship Final – 1500m, Open Hcp

BRC Keith Noud Handicap – 1200m, Open, Hcp
